About the Museum Renovation

The Miyagi Museum of Art opened its doors in 1981, and over the course of forty years of operation, the Main Building and its facilities began to show signs of aging. In response to this, large-scale renovation work has been carried out.

Through this renovation, existing facilities such as our galleries, restrooms, and elevators have been renewed, while new facilities such as Visible Storage, the Kids Studio, and nursing rooms have been introduced.
