Many new attractions have been built in Miyagi that demonstrate the prefecture’s recovery, including memorial facilities and prayer parks. Here, several “Model Tours” are presented to suggest routes that visitors can follow in four areas of Miyagi to experience educational sites and enjoy new attractions.
Some of the content of the exhibits at the Miyagi 3.11 Tsunami Disaster Memorial Museum are introduced online here to keep alive the memory of the Great East Japan Earthquake, teach the lessons learned, and try to prevent a similar tragedy from occurring in the future.
