About Using the Museum

HOURS

9:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
(Last admission: 4:30 P.M.)

CLOSED

Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a national holiday)
Year-end and New Year holidays, maintenance periods. Other temporary closures may occur.

ADMISSION

Collection Exhibition (including the Sato Churyo Gallery):

Adults: 350 yen (280 yen)

Elementary, junior high, high school, and university students (or equivalent): Free

*Figures in parentheses indicate group rates (20 people or more)

 

Free admission on:
May 5th (Children’s Day)
May 18th (International Museum Day)
Third Monday of September (Respect for the Aged Day)
The last Saturday of October and following Sunday (Tohoku Culture Day)
November 3rd (Culture Day / Museum Anniversary)

 

Admission Fee Discounts/Exemptions

Admission fees may be discounted or waived for:
・Supervisors accompanying school groups as part of the official curriculum (advance application required)
・Holders of a Physical Disability Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate, or Medical Rehabilitation Handbook, and one accompanying person
・Students and others affiliated with institutions participating in the Campus Members Program

Studios, Kids Studio, restaurant and museum shop are open to the public.
