Request to All Visitors

The rules of this museum have been put in place to protect the works on display and ensure that all visitors can enjoy their time here. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in following these rules.

Requests inside the Museum

  

Umbrellas are not allowed inside the building. Please place umbrellas in the umbrella stand at the entrance.

No animals or plants are allowed in the museum (except guide dogs and other assistance dogs.)

Please refrain from eating and drinking (including candy, gum, etc.) outside of designated areas.

No smoking inside the building.

No hazardous materials are allowed.

 

Requests inside the Galleries

Please do not touch the artworks and display stands.

Eating and drinking are prohibited.
Please do not talk on your cell phone.

Ball-point pens and mechanical pencils are prohibited.

Please do not run in the galleries.

About Eating and Drinking inside the Museum

Please refrain from eating and drinking (including candy, gum, etc.) outside of designated areas.

  

There is a restaurant on the 1st floor of the Main Building.

Only sealed drinks are allowed within the Drink Corner on the 1st floor of the Sato Churyo Gallery.

Photography in the Collection Exhibition

Photography is permitted inside the Collection Exhibition.

Taking photos of art works with the “No Photos” sign is prohibited.

 

  • Flash photography, camera stands, and video recording are not allowed. Please also follow the notices posted at the entrance of the exhibition rooms.
  • Photography policies for Special Exhibitions vary by exhibition.
