The Churyo Sato Gallery[Gallery 5-9]

Churyo Sato

Sculptor Churyo Sato (1912-2011) was born in Miyagi Prefecture. The Churyo Sato gallery features his sculptures.

Original Illustrations for Children's Book: Churyo Sato

Our museum houses a leading collection of picture books with over 10,000 original drawings from about 550 titles. Gallery 9 features original illustrations from picture books by multiple authors.

For this exhibition, the gallery will show some original illustrations from picture books by Churyo Sato.
