Connected to the world by a variety of reliable and high quality infrastructure, Miyagi is a hub for international shipping and trade routes, bullet-train and rail connections, and domestic and international flights.

Located only approximately an hour and a half from Tokyo by train, Miyagi’s capital of Sendai offers many of the same benefits at a fraction of the cost. Miyagi-based businesses enjoy easy access to one of the largest domestic markets in the world, as well as the vast network of regional markets across Asia-Pacific.

Japan’s infrastructure remains globally competitive. Its rail system was ranked first worldwide in the 2016-17 WEF Global Competitiveness Report. Miyagi is seen as a prime example of Japan’s impressive transport and logistics capacities.
